Help needed - Phogge - 10-27-2018

Especially at safety. Plus Holder is playing on one leg. Doubt he will be drafted. Game effort and they don’t have anyone better behind him.

I know DL is Stanford’s recruiting Achilles heel. Will not win championships until this weakness is addressed. I noticed Andres Fox got a single snap tonight.

The three top receivers are leaving one way or another. TE becomes a problem with Smith now headed for a late first round pick. I don’t see a viable possession WR on next year’s roster.

And Austin Jones better be very, very good.

I think they split the final four and head to a very minor bowl. At least the redshirts can get some reps. About all that is left.

DL will be good in 2 years.

Secondary needs help BAD. Brandon Simmons disappeared this season. Please slap a redshirt on Ben Edwards. Hope a true frosh can play.

Hoping to run the table, of course, but more selfishly hoping for the Vegas Bowl so my buddies and I can meet up for a weekend.

With OSB, Parkinson, Wilson, Weddington, and Simi Fehoko I think the receiving corps will be fine.
Unfortunately I'm having a hard time seeing the running attack and the defense being much better than it is this year. Hopefully I'm missing something.
As far as the rest of the season is concerned 2-2 sounds about right. Losses to Washington in Seattle (I just hope we can avoid the embarrassment we had there two years ago) and one other. Although they are hardly great teams, Kal, UCLA, and even OSU have had their moments this year. None of them are gimmes.

I don't think the house is on fire to that extent.

Washington St is the best team in the conference. UW is a brewing dumpster fire on offense between Petersen, the OC, and Browning. It's not working. We may not win next week but I don't think we will get blown out of the stadium. UCLA & Oregon St are the same caliber as SDSU. Cal is better than in the past but they are not good enough.

I will worry about next year after this year.

Well, this was the only conference game the Huskies failed to put up at least three TD's, so I'm not sure they are that bad.
We may need them to be to win the game, though.
I believe they can still win the Pac-12 North if they win out, so they will be hungry. Just like they were two years ago.

Among the guys you named none has won his spurs. Parkinson has a few td’s but not much more. The others represent promise only.

True, but I have a feeling the receiving corps is going to be one of the least of our problems next year, especially with Costello throwing to them.
If it is a big problem, it may be a very long year.

RE: Help needed - Spiny_Norman - 10-28-2018

The schedule next year sure will be a challenge. OOC opponents are Northwestern (currently leading the Big 10 West), Central Florida (nation's longest winning streak) and ND.
