Baseball scrimmage yesterday - JJJ - 10-30-2018

And now for something completely different... went to Sunken Diamond for the first time in years to watch 5 innings of a scrimmage vs USF. Just a few (possibly worthless) observations.

Miller started and threw mostly fastballs. Probably on a pitch count because he left midway through the third. Many scouts with radar guns behind the plate who left when he was pulled.

Palisch came in and gave up a couple of runs (I think; I had to take a phone call).

Beck came in and started pumping in strikes and the tempo of the game changed. He looked good.

Matthiessen went yard (so what’s new). I left with us down 2-1.

starters: Handley behind the plate, Breuser at 1B, Tawa 2b, Bellafronto 3b, Frosh Dieter SS, Robinson LF, Wilson C, Wulff RF.

Hot day!
