Austroturf - 11-03-2018
Arizona State is leading Utah 38-20 with three minutes and change left in the game. What a shocker. Michigan destroyed Penn State at home. And Georgia exposed Kentucky in the Wildcats' own stadium. Florida also got fleeced by Missouri.
Some games true to form; others are big surprises. Even lowly Nebraska gave Ohio State a run for their money.

Is my math right that ASU controls their destiny in the South now?

Technically yes, but the road remaining is brutal for Arizona State. Games at Oregon and at Arizona remaining. Despite the loss, Utah probably still in the driver's seat, at least in terms of schedule (losing Tyler Huntley to a broken collarbone, ending his season, could change that calculus though).
If anything, big win for ASU toward bowl eligibility (need 1 more for 6), and chaos ensues in the South once again.
Iowa lost to Purdue in West Lafayette, so Northwestern now firmly in control of the Big 10 West to get to Indianapolis and the Big 10 Championship Game.
The question is: who would they face? Michigan? Ohio State?

None of the matters. It’s going to be Alabama, who is having their way with #3 LSU.

Oklahoma vs Texas tech... first time I’ve ever seen a pick-2, an interception on a two point conversion attempt returned for two points the other way.

Kal giving Wazzu all they can handle. 13-13 late in Q3.
If Kal somehow pulls this one out, the Pirate's post game press conference should be quite amusing.

WSU pulls it off with a game winning TD with something like 10 seconds remaining. But that game was not as close as the score suggests. WSU outgained Cal 413-291, they had a near pick six that was fumbled out the end zone resulting in Cal getting the ball back at the 20, instead of WSU having first and goal from the three (or a TD).

Kal got the ball after a Couged field goal with the opportunity to drive down for the winning score. They went three and out. You can bet Minshew didn't go three and out. I didn't think he had a particularly good evening, but he was money when the game was on the line.
