Sun Bowl consolidated who's out (and maybe out) - 82lsju - 12-26-2018

my take on the who's out for the Sun Bowl list

confirmed as not playing are the following

- RB Bryce Love
- WR Trent Irwin
- OL Walker Little
- OL Nate Herbig
- DL Dylan Jackson
- DB Alameen Murphy

some who may or may not be playing, status still TBD but Shaw says he's "hopeful" they play

- LB Casey Toohill
- LB Mustafa Branch
- LB Andrew Pryts

The questionable include

- TE Kaden Smith
- OL Foster Sarrell

and some others out

- QB Davis Mills (Shaw expects him to participate in Spring practice, I wonder if he will ever be healthy enough to play regularly)
- WR Connor Wedington (he's not playing to preserve a year of eligibility, he played in Big Game when Irwin was hurt and that was his fourth game of the year so if he played in the Sun Bowl he'd lose a year of eligibility, the original plan was for him not to play in Big Game and to play him in the bowl game)

PITT really only missing one Offensive Linemen.
Total yards for Panthers:  1800 passing, nearly 3,000 rushing with two guys in beast mode:  Ollison, and Hall, both over 1,000 yds.
If they keep the ball, our thin Defense will be spent by the 4th Q.

Well, that would be an improvement over last year.
Against TCU, our defense was spent by the middle of the second quarter.

Once Justin Reid went down it was all over. An already thin D losing its 5th starter was a death sentence, and not having the 4-game redshirt rule meant Adebo couldn't jump in.

This year we actually have a >3-man DL rotation (even without Jackson, although he plays the run pretty well so losing him does hurt). That hasn't been the case for years.
