Sun Bowl TreeCast w/Lance Anderson -
troyc - 12-28-2018
A new, jumbo-sized episode of the TreeCast is up...time to preview Stanford's matchup vs. Pitt in the Sun Bowl! Cardinal defensive coordinator Lance Anderson breaks down the highs and lows for the Treefense this season, and shares his impressions of Pitt's tough-nosed offense. We also get a Panther preview from Paul Zeise of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette & 93.7 The Fan, who tells us why he'll be keeping an eye on #25 from the Pitt defense, and dives into Walt Harris's legacy at Pitt. (spoiler alert: he's remembered a bit differently at Pitt than he is at Stanford) Plus, my keys to the game and my three most important plays of the Stanford Football 2018 season. Half way through (no traffic on commute home + longer than normal cast!). Agree 100% with your top 3 plays, but really surprised you didn't absolutely rip ShawVita for the end of the UW game. They wasted HALF of the last 1:30 with those stupid substitutions. That's just bad coaching - at any level. At this level, it's really inexcusable. I was equally disappointed in the postgame presser at the media present not really taking him to task for it, and when he was questioned he deflected (as usual). He needed to own it.

for whatever reason, Walt Harris is not remembered too fondly here.

"I'm surprised in a 1-on-1 with the DC that you didn't rip the offensive playcalling, none of which he has anything to do with."

I met him once. Single most impolite college-level coach I've ever met (out of about 15 or so), by a considerable margin.

I met Harris once and his wife. Talked to her a stunner I enjoyed

Yeah, that seemed to be his only redeeming quality.
Harbaugh too.

Did you listen to the TreeCast? I don't think you did, because if you had you'd know that Troy's top 3 plays were a totally different segment from his interview with Anderson.
