MBB vs Long Beach State -

Completely forgot about this game and noticed it as I tuned in when I got home. We are up 67-58 with eight and a half to go. Go Cardinal!
The lead is yoyoing quite rapidly between 5-10 points.
Oh no, Davis just stepped on a defender’s foot rolled his left ankle. Done for the night. Hope it’s not too bad.
Sharma! 20pts, 16 boards both career highs! 4 fouls though...

Two point game with 20 seconds left. It should be nowhere near as close, but we can’t buy a free throw, so here we are.

93-87 final score, but it was a one possession game with about 20 seconds left and possibly a missed foul all, but I will take it. Ugly game, all the more so because Davis May have sprained his ankle. Dharma had himself a night with 23 points and 17 rebounds and a bunch of thunderous dunks over the overmatched Long Beach State players.
Otherwise this shouldn’t have been a game but for missed free throws up the wazoo. Ugh.

93-86 W but we almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I hope this helps us later in the season.

We win. 7 of 21 on FTs. Terrible. 93 points outstanding. And Shama the game of his life. 23 points and 18 rebounds.

Stanford wins 93 to 86. LBS closed to within 2 before the Cardinal closed out the game on a 5-0 run. Stanford had 12 more rebounds than LBS. Free throw shooting was 7 of 21 for Cardinal vs 17 of 22 for LBS.
At least we did better than most of the conference today.
Geaux Cardinal!

It was great to see what Sharma can do when he stays out of foul trouble!
Yet another underwhelming victory over an RPI 150+ team. Then again, our RPI is no great shakes so maybe too much to expect.
The aspirational goal of the Not Important Tournament is still alive.
Only silver lining is that the Pac-12 is so bad that pretty much any team can win the conference tournament and get the only bid the conference will likely get. Only 5 teams in the RPI top 100 and two in the top 50. And now we start beating each other up. Wouldn't surprise me if 12-6 wins the regular season title.
Is this the worst Pac-12 in recent memory?

Hope Davis is OK! Any word on Ryan?
