RE: Class of 2020 - BostonCard - 06-22-2019

Would love to hear more about commits at offensive line, and pretty much anywhere on defense.  We now have more commits at wide receiver than on the defense combined.

DE recruit. But perhaps a day late and a buck short; he’s already committed to UNC.

Perhaps we waited on Junior grades. And we've flipped 3+ guys per season every season dating back to '14.

Starr looks like a great route runner.  His jump ball catches remind me of JJAW.  6'3" and 195 lbs.  Nice recruit.

I’m confused. I thought we weren’t going for a QB in 2020.

He's Jack Richardson's brother, and the family is from Salinas. Seems only natural for him to visit, even if we aren't in search of a QB in his class. He has a WSU offer.

Would be a walk-on. We might actually get 2.

RE: Class of 2020 - slide - 06-23-2019

Frazier's commitment to WVU may have pushed forward the Beatty offer.  our DL recruiting has not been very robust for the past several years.

RE: Class of 2020 - Phogge - 06-23-2019

Not filling the classes in wake of the many injuries of last year seems like complacency. A losing record will result in a ticket decline in 2020. Bad schedule. Not saying it will happen but depth is a of immense proportions concern at some positions. Perhaps if the recruiting staff is complacent it may be time for new blood in the EUTM mode.

Somebody tell me why hug@ is a dirty word.

RE: Class of 2020 - BostonCard - 06-23-2019

Because the game against Texas in 1999 was deemed to be “hüge”.  We subsequently lost it 69-17, and it has been a dirty word ever since.

We are in the top 5 for Emmett Smith’s kid.

The Board's substitution of h|_|ge is one of my favorite things about it. I miss the University of $poiled Children and University of Dead Fake Girlfriends substitutions...

I was liking the University of Sketchy Clinicians, but then I heard that a similar thing happened at UCLA too.

Must be a Southern California thing.

Frankly it's a bit silly for you erudite 40 year decision guys.

I would rather remember the '86 Texas game when Dick Mannini had his guys commit a couple of late hits to scare the hell out of the Longhorns. It worked.

Good summary of the status of remaining targets.

Big commitment, both literally (he’s a 6’7” tackle, though he needs to put on about 30 lbs) and figuratively (4* at a position of need).

Recruit number 11. This is great

Just a great name for a big lineman.

I know Shaw gets accused of lazy recruiting, but he’s certainly recruited more than 11 at this point in the cycle.  You mean commit 11!

RE: Class of 2020 - BostonCard - 06-25-2019

PS, I only count 9 commits.  Did I miss a couple or do we have some that haven’t been publicly announced?

AMDG. Must be Jesuit trained.
