Robinson replaced by the Niners for Greg Papa.

And RIP Mean Gene.

Greg Papa was the best radio play-by-play guy for basketball I've ever heard outside of Bill King. He made the Run TMC Warriors fun, and had some great calls! Ted Robinson is insufferable. Definite upgrade for Niners in the radio booth.

Mean Gene Okerlund was the best straight man ever.  How anyone could project such seriousness in the face of such phony silliness is impressive. Without him, WWF/WWE probably wouldn't have grown as big as it did.

When my youngest was in grammar school we would hide from Mom and watch WCW. It was always a better show than WWF. My son knew it was faked but Goldberg’s flying tackle and Sting’s antics were much appreciated. It wasn’t PBS but it was a lot of fun and Mean Gene set the perfect stage. McMahon is a pimp. Bruno Tataglia would have outfought him.

I really like Robinson’s announcing. He does multiple sports. Great job.
