At least one team with numerous injuries this year is showing concern with their strength and conditioning program:
Don't have the link but per the Chron, the niners are moving on from their current strength and conditioning coach, citing injury concerns.

It's a good question. It is taken as conventional wisdom that proper training can reduce injuries, and certainly we had a run of few injuries when Turley, who is widely respected, was heading the sports performance program for the football team. Now that we have had a probably higher than average number of injuries, it is natural to wonder whether his attention to other sports (he is the head of sports performance for all of DAPER, though he is still heavily involved in the football program) might at all be related. I'm skeptical and my default assumption is that there is random fluctuation, but who knows.
