I also appreciated the link the the postgame press conference.  Tara said Maya would return "shortly."  Asked if that means the next game, Tara said "no, but shortly is better than the whole season."

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Results of the Week - M T - 01-08-2019

Regarding this week's  Washington @ Oregon game, perhaps you only saw the final score as I think you missed a very interesting game.   I suspect Tara also hadn't watched the Washington-Oregon game before her post-UCLA meeting with the fans, as she didn't highlight the Washington performance, touting Stanford's next home game (vs  Washington).

Oregon's Erin Boley was the focus of the news reports on the game, hitting 8 of 12 3ptrs, for a total of 28 points, 19 in the first half.  She was a first quarter headline, leading Oregon to an early 23-6 lead.  But then Washington's Alexis Griggsby started hitting, for 21 in the first half. (26 for the game, with 6 of 11 from three;  She scored as  many points in this game than in all previous 11 games combined).  Washington pulled up, so at the half, Oregon led by one, 38-37.

Again in the 3rd, Oregon jumped to a double digit lead, 53-41 by the media timeout.  Again, Washington dug in and came back to trail by 1 shortly before the 4th quarter media time out, 66-65.  The game was definitely in doubt.  (Not knowing the result as I watched the replay, I had to check Washington's record.   7-6 at the time, bottom of the PAC-12 RPI at #110. )

Oregon made another spurt in the final 5+ minutes to win by 13, but I think this emphasizes the fact that no PAC-12 game is going to be easy.

Notice that, in the 2nd half, each team managed to control the other's top first-half scorer.  Ionescu had, by her standards, a quiet night (20 pts, 10A).  For the game, Oregon didn't shoot badly (42% overall, 38% from 3), but  Washington actually shot better.
