Sounds terrible. It shocks and saddens me that a person could repeatedly raise concerns with the head coach and AD about harassment and assault and never have her emails or phone calls replied to.

Facts:
- Nobody posting on message boards knows what happened
- Cal coaches and AD should not respond to such allegations as they are handled by the university itself
- The young woman did herself no favors by posting her allegations on social media
- The severity of the circumstance hinges on what the university knew and when
If the university didn't know about the allegations until the social media post, Cal looks really terrible and high level heads would have to roll pending an investigation into how such allegations are handled at the university. If the allegations were already reported and being handled by the proper channels at the university - as it seems is the case here - then there really is nothing institutionally corrupt, the matter will be investigated on its merits and appropriate action will be taken vis-a-vis those involved.
As an aside, the young woman also made a post saying she suffers from mental illness and is taking a leave of absence from school to deal with it.
I find it almost impossible to believe Cal doesn't have the processes and protocols in place to deal with this kind of stuff given the high profile incidents the university has faced of this nature in the not so distant past. UCB is not Baylor as some might want to think.

An update on this story:
https://m.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/paige-cornelius-today-cal-football-team-harassment-13724168.php
A few quotes:
“C
ornelius spoke to the "Today Show" Thursday morning in her first public interview since sharing the Facebook post. During the three-minute segment, she said a "toxic culture" persisted within the Cal football team.”
“
Cornelius also said "more than a dozen women" reached out to her after the Facebook post, detailing similar harassment at the hands of coaches and team members.”

Has the Cal staff been on a desert island since the Weinstein stories broke? Hey guys, that behavior doesn’t work anymore plus it is just plain wrong. If Wilcox knew and didn’t report he’s toast.

Two volunteer coaches no longer with the program doesn’t sound so scandalous. A couple 20-somethings doing dumb 20-something things in a peer situation is a lot different than paid professional staff still employed doing what is alleged.

Yeah but did Wilcox know and not report it? Did they think that by letting the two “20 something’s” go that would be the end of it?
The best policy these days is to openly admit something is wrong (in legal limits) before the Today Show drags your school into the mud.

Even if Cal is handling everything right, nobody can do anything about someone wanting to go on TV.
