Nice to see one of John Rittman's proteges as a head coach.

RE: Softball: How they have improved - BostonCard - 03-22-2019

Conference starts tomorrow, with a three game set at home against Cal.  Televised on the Pac-12 Nets.

From the preview: https://gostanford.com/news/2019/3/19/softball-pac-12-opener.aspx

Quote:Cal enters the week sporting a 19-9 overall record, including a 1-2 mark in the Pac-12 after salvaging a series with Utah by way of an 8-7 win on Sunday. The Bears will meet Sacramento State on Wednesday before opening the three-game set with the Card. Lindsay Rood paces the offense with a Pac-12 best .485 batting average, 35 runs scored, 10 doubles, four triples and four homers to the tune of 20 RBI.  She also leads the team in stolen bases, boasting an unblemished 19-for-19 clip in that department. Mikayla Coelho has driven in a team-high 25 runs, highlighted by seven round-trippers. California is hitting .325 as a team. On the pitching side, Cal has worked to a 2.49 team ERA, led by Kamalani Dung at 2.17 over 17 appearances and 10 starts. Dung has compiled 74.1 innings of work with 86 strikeouts. Diane Ninemire is in her 31st season at the helm of the program.

Anybody catch the end of Sunday's game in Berkeley?

Down 3 runs in the top of the final inning Stanford appeared to tie the game only to be called out at home.  Then with 2 outs, the Cardinal brought home 2 more runs before closing the deal in the bottom of the half.

I am new to the site and have a difficult time finding softball links. How do you guys find the softball links? I was watching the PAC 12 network but switched to Duke vs UCF...and then went back to my recording. Pleasantly surprised with the win! Not sure how I found this link on cardboard. I think I am making this too difficult. IS THERE A SOFTBALL FORUM I SHOULD BE FOLLOWING??? Thanks and GO CARD!

I tend to leave the gostanford.com composite calendar open on a browser window most of the time.  Makes it easy to see if something is happening any given day.
