WBB 2011 recruiting (a look back) - BobK - 06-11-2019

Given that’s it’s a bit slow and I’m going thru stuff I thought I’d post the rankings of our 2011 recruits.  I have all 4 sources but here’s the highest

Orrange 15
Bonnie Samuelson 21
Greenfield 23
Camp 45
Green 49

Final 4 as Jrs but only Bonnie and Amber as starters

Crazy that we are now thinking about 2021 recruits.  How time flies...

Why do I feel like something got screwed up when Marty edited Bob's post? This doesn't seem to have anything to do with 2021? These are our 2011 recruits?

Yeah, I switched it back to 2011, as it was clearly a retrospective look at the recruiting class that was being recruited almost 10 years ago.  My how time flies!

I think Marty saw WBB recruiting and assumed that it was a type-o and meant to say 2021.

Thought it was a fun look back.

Next post will be about the university of Stanford.

I remember Jasmine Camp playing effectively against UConn as a freshman and I expected much more of her down the line.  But both she and Alex Green wound up with injuries their freshman years and neither ever really got back on track.

Taylor started 13 games her freshman year.  Tara thought she was much readier to go than a typical frosh.   But she was never a regular starter after the first half of her freshman year, although she gave her best contribution in tournament time as a senior.  Bonnie, on the other hand, did not start her freshman year but was the regular starter by the time she was a senior.
