Come play r/cfb's board game, Pandemic, with Team Stanford! - Canalejas - 06-11-2019

Just a little background: This game is hosted by r/cfb, the college football subreddit. Last year over 10,000 members of r/cfb participated in a modified version of the boardgame Risk. Each school started with the land closest to their school, and each turn we had the option to attack neighboring schools, or defend our territory! Despite Stanford's small team (~40 active users), we survived 59 total days, and ended up in 12th place! We were the longest lasting team in the Pac12 and went toe to toe with much larger fanbases (like Florida and Michigan), with thousands of active users, and survived using great strategies and key alliances!

This year's iteration is a modified version of the boardgame Pandemic! The united states is being taken over by 3 nasty virus strains (NFLitis, Bagmania, and Tweetatcrootus), and collectively we will try to cure everyone before they turn into nasty zombies! Today is the first day of the game and we are still figuring out mechanics and strategies.

If you want to play with us, please visit https://cfbdemic.redditcfb.com/. You will first need to visit https://flair.redditcfb.com/ to change your r/cfb flair to Stanford.

Although this is hosted by the college football subreddit, you do not need to have any knowledge about football. Join us if playing a of immense proportions collective boardgame with 10k users sounds fun to you! Our discord has also grown into a fun community of pre-frosh, current students and alumni (like me!). We have channels for discussion and advice about Stanford related topics. We even have a couple of professors hidden in our ranks ;)
