Getting removed is almost better as they likely will just reference their last year in the ratings to cling to their top rated public school claim for a few more years.

UCLA just had an amazing year in overall applications coupled with an impressively low admit rate.   UCLA now has an edge in overall applications, acceptance rate, and likely yield too.   Unless USNWR changes its methodology UCLA will be the #1 public school for years to come.

Almost doesn't matter what the ratings show.   The trend this decade has been clear, UCLA has become the #1 UC for this generation of HS students.  The baby bear is now the top bear in the UC lair.
