Stanford commitments in the US Junior Girls - Hulk01 - 07-27-2019

Incoming freshman Lei Ye is two up after 20 holes
in the championship match for US Girls Junior.

Three Stanford commits--Ye, incoming classmate Brooke Seay.,
and 2021 commit Rose Zhang and the current #1 ranked junior girl--
got to the quarterfinals.
The other five quarterfinalists represent
Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Ohio State.

2020 commit Rachel Heck was eliminated in the round of 64.
She's had a relatively poor summer and has dropped to 21st
in the junior rankings.

It appears that Lucy Liu did not enter.

Ye wins 1 up; pars the last hole, opponent's short birdie putt slides just left.

Only watched the 15 minute reply on youtube, but, wow, can those young ladies play. Happy to see Ye win, of course, but she looked like she didn’t even have a great day, especially putting. Got me excited about the future of women’s golf on the Farm.

Yes, Ye could not make a putt.
But hat a great game she has from 125 yards in.
She may play at three, with Krauter at four
and a battle--Seay, Liu and Wang--for five.
