Young played one season of Low A when he was 17.

Who was the youngest batting champ and when was his second title?

Buster Posey.  Hasn't had a second title.   :D

Curious though...do you think Buster Posey will make the Hall of Fame? Three World Series, one batting title, one MVP, six All-Star seasons, Rookie of the Year, four Silver Slugger awards, one golden glove. Career slash line .303/.372/.460/.832.

RE: OT: Baseball trivia - Phogge - 07-31-2019

Kaline never had another batting title.

I am in favor of great players getting in the Hall. Cepeda, Perez, Nellie Fox, Aparicio and others very good players but not in my Hall. Ruth, Gehrig, Mays, Koufax, Grove, Feller and a few others just on another level above Molitor, Gordon, Ivan Rod et al that deserve entry but bow down to the greats.

Can Posey match Dickey, Cochrane, Berra, Campy? Probably not but under current trends he probably makes it. Great defense, an MVP, a batting title. Bench #1 but I prefer Berra. Stengel said that he was his best player, an immortal winner.
