OT: More Giants - Phogge - 08-24-2019

I don’t care how far back they are I love this club. Pillar is a fantastic pickup. Solano Ole! Dick, Dick, Dick! Vogt!

I believe in Steven Vogt...

Agreed.  The Giants have brought in or brought up a lot of exciting players, including all those you mentioned, and Yaz and Austin Slater and Gennett and Joey Rickard.  And they got rid of Mac Williamson, Connor Joe, Gerardo Parra, Joe Panik, Erik Kratz, Derek Holland, Mike Gerber and Zach Green (either permanently or sent to Sacto).  And that doesn't even include AAA HR machine Jaylin Davis, 10 HRs in 19 games. BTW, the River Cats have hit 218 HRs in 130 games this season and are first in their division.

Solano 4-4 today, plus a walk.

Buster, OTOH, 0-5 with 4 K’s as the DH.

They are fun to watch. Buster is a shell of the hitter he was. Still elite defensively. It is pure lunacy, however, to have him hitting in the middle of the order. That’s just Bochy being loyal to a fault. It’s a strength of his, but it’s also a fault.
