Hey BC - Phogge - 08-25-2019

Pritchard is the Andrew Luck Director of offense in addition to his QB duties. Thus my post.

RE: Hey BC - BostonCard - 08-25-2019

I’m aware. I thought the possibility of him taking a position endowed in the name of his successor was funny.  Luck isn’t coming back to coach Stanford, as either QB coach or “Director of the offense”.

By the way, I notice we don’t yet have an endowment for the RB coach, or for that matter the OL, TE’s or receivers.  On defense, Akina’s Position is endowed but not named after a player or coach, and Anderson is the Willie Shaw Director of defense.  Our ST coordinator is also not endowed.

So the question for everyone here, if you had the money to endow any coaching position, and had to name it after a former player or coach, who would you name it for?

Maybe Andrew comes back periodically as a consultant, less commitment but he could still be involved with the program which he might enjoy.

The Sharcus Steen Inside Linebackers Coach - in honor of having the coolest frickin' name ever.
The Jake Bailey Special Teams Coach - in honor of eliminating the need for kickoff coverage, thereby greatly simplifying special teams.
The Kulabafi Running Backs Coach - because, Kulabafi.

Col Kurtz's phrase comes to mind re. recruiting and Mamlet. Conrad was prescient.

RE: Hey BC - BostonCard - 08-26-2019

Yeah, you gotta go with the Tunnel Workers Union Local 88 offensive line coach.
