Question on Watching Game - Langdude - 09-14-2019

I was unable to watch the game because we had three soccer games in the family today. (#4 had her game on Thursday.) So I did not watch the Stanford game, but followed along on my phone.

My question is what parts of the game, if any, I should watch. Maybe this is as much a philosophical question as it is a strategic one. Some would understandably skip a debacle such as this. Others enjoy watching any game, win or loss.

I may not have time to watch it anyway, but wanted to see what the Borgmind thought.

I myself was partial to any time when the announcers mentioned the temperature in Orlando versus the temperature in Palo Alto, which they did an oddly frequent number of times.

Second half.  And don't look at the score.

Don't even know that the second half is worth watching.  It was a sloppy half of football.  I mean, we scored more than they did, but it was hardly a mesmerizing performance.

Don’t watch.

If you want to watch one thing, STanford's touchdown drive in the first half was pretty.  If for no other reason than you get to see Costello pancake some poor safety.

In particular, watch the series starting with about 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter. We drive it down to the 17 yard line and have a fourth and ten. Now yes, we were down 28 points, so chances of a comeback were slim. But with 8 minutes left in the game we chose to go for the field goal. We went from a four score deficit to a ... four score deficit. Shaw quit on the team. Sorry, not sorry, that's what happened.
