Their predictor has us winning four of our last eight. No bowls in our future, but they have us beating Cal in the Big Game.

Cal is #15 in the most recent AP poll. Scary reversal of roles. I sure hope we get on track and help subdue the euphoria over in Berkeley. Credit to Wilcox for raising the bar on the East side of the bay; but a 10th straight win against the Bears would be very, very sweet. Can Shaw keep his record perfect?

Cal's had a good start, yes, but I'd like to see the case where they keep all of the "Champions of September" trophies.

Winning Big Game has been a job-saver for many a Stanford coach.

The Sheriff would like to agree...loser of three of four bowl games, but he got into a Rose Bowl, and was 7-0 against Cal.

Name three coaches in the past 35 years who have perfect Big Game records.

African-American coaches are currently undefeated for Stanford in the Big Game. I'm not trying to say anything by it, but you have to admit it is a crazy stat.

I wouldn't mind a tactical Big Game loss this season to keep the rivalry on life support. Throw the Koboyashi Maru Rally Committee a bone.

Sounds like pre-loss justification to me.
