My comments:
1) I did enjoy the Parkinson to Mills TD throw and catch, it was sensational. But, OSU's Hodgins amazing catch was "more memorable".
2) Excellent point you made about OSU's offense making the second half adjustment to play action.
3) While I appreciate Shaw's comments about how well KJ played last season (with an injury plagued roster of offensive players), I can't help but also think much credit is also due to JJ Arcega Whiteside.
4) Good positive point you made about Stanford's defensive secondary revealing sound fundamental technique.
5) If you don't mind please post your thoughts here to this thread about why Stanford's offensive production was so much better in the first half against OSU, versus the second half ?

Not Troy, but the infamous Shaw turtle - shifting away from WR quick screens and short passes on 1st/2nd down to vintage R2P2 (run run pass punt) once we had a 21-0 lead - was clearly an immense part of the problem. We don't have the talent advantage to be telegraphing our plays anymore. Same heart-attack-inducing stubbornness as the ASU game last year.
Case in point: we haven't passed out of a 4 TE formation a single time this whole season. On our 5 plays from that formation in the OSU game (all in goal line IIRC), we gained a total of... -2 yards. It doesn't help that the 4th TE in that formation is a walk-on (Kyle McCombs), so everyone and their mother knows we're not running in his direction.

Not much I can add to that.....diversification in playcalling largely not there in the second half.
