Davis Mills' health - CardinalSagehen - 10-06-2019

A few reasons to be optimistic:

1) He was seen with an ice pack on the back of his surgically repaired left knee during the 4th quarter, but then they took it off later. He didn't seem too concerned, according to what my buddy said.
2) On the post-game radio interview, Shaw downplayed the injury.  He said something like, he got a little dinged early in the game, but he toughed it out. Then he got dinged again later in the game and we thought we should sit him as a precaution.
3) He seemed to be walking fine in the tunnel after the game, as shown in this tweet.

So you never really know, but the signs are quite positive.  Maybe this is swelling that he typically deals with, or a relatively minor sprain.

He sure put in a heck of a performance last night!

Also, for all the flak that Pritchard gets on this board for offensive performance, there seems to be a genuine bond with Mills.  I tend to agree with many people here that both he and Stanford would have been better served with him going elsewhere and learning a new way of working and bringing it back.  However when people I respect talk of him as “future head coach material”, I believe them.

Good to see. Walking with no limp.
