Blogging with the Bruins -

Here's this week's edition. I've also got a link to the podcast I guested on. Suffice it to say that UCLA fans are not feeling optimistic about this game or anything else related to the football program. It's really quite amazing how far things have fallen. Regardless of what you might think of the hire, two years ago they went out and paid big money to get the top guy on the market. They probably didn't think they'd win the conference this year, but I bet they thought they'd be winning some games and showing signs of life by now. I know that prospects consider things like position coaches and football facilities, but UCLA has to be one of the more desirable locations in America. You'd think they'd be able to turn things around pretty quickly. I know the argument against Chip Kelly -- he was successful at Oregon because he was two years ahead of the curve, but now everyone is doing what he did so the novelty has worn off and defenses are ready for his system. So it would be forgivable if he didn't win a national championship, but it's shocking that they've been as bad as they've been this season.
Anyway, here's the link...
