[sigh], will we never come out from bama's shadow? - george - 10-24-2019

First it was Mark Ingram beating Toby.
Then it was Derrick Henry beating Christian.

Well, now it's Tyrone Protho beating Francis Owusu for most spectacular catch:

If I didn't know any better I'd start to think that there is a conspiracy at play...

Even as it happened, the stupid announcers couldn’t help but make the Prothrombin comparisons, except the announcer couldn’t remember Prothro’s name.

* I am aware of the autocorrect, but it was funny enough that I elected not to fix it.

Ingram was at least quasi-defensible. Henry was not. CMac had one of the greatest years in NCAA history. Should have won in a landslide.

That one still really rankles. Same with RGIII over Luck.

Newton deserved it for his play as a Non-student athlete. RG111 did not. Toby lost because Barry Tompkins is a Cal man and a couple of his friends followed suit.

The McCaffrey/Henry choice was unbelievable.

No, he stole it like it was a UF laptop.

You're thinking of Jameis Winston.

Wasn't Stanford Winston's second choice school?

Yes I was.  Thanks for the reminder.  Sometimes I loose track of who has stolen what.

Stanford University has never been "in the shadow" of any school.

We bow to no program!

Stanford should have had two in the top ten.
