ESPN's "150 greatest games" - qwerty49 - 11-07-2019

Here's something to debate about, I suppose.  Stanford's in 5 of them.

#22 when Garner's knee was down.  (The writeup has a few facts wrong)
#88 1934 Rose Bowl loss to Columbia
#90 Pritchard to Bradford
#110 1925 Rose Bowl loss to ND
#119 the 2001 win over Oregon

Some of the choices are pretty weird.  For example, #26 is a 0-0 tie between Army and ND in 1946.  I admit I wasn't alive then, but jeez that must have been a yawner.

#1 vs #2, both teams undefeated, Army with a 25 game win streak, all 4 Voldemort winners from 46 through 49 playing in the game.

Leahy vs Red Blaik. Both teams undefeated but AP awards NC to Domers. Just one of the many votes by the pro Domer journalism cabal.

College HOfers Army.... Davis and Blanchard, Arnold Tucker, Barney Poole,

Domers... Lujack, Six Yard Sitko, George Conner, Ziggy Czarbowski, Jim Martin, Bill Fischer, Joe Steffy.

Plus played at Yankee Stadium. What’s not to like?
