MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - Spiny_Norman - 12-01-2019

Cardinal looking good against UNCW in the 1st half. Up 35-16 at the 4 minute tv timeout.

UNCW head coach was teammate (and roommate) of Jerod Haase at Kansas.

38-19 at the half. Sad that this thread has only gotten two points. MBB has been the pleasant surprise of the year so far.

da Silva and Spencer Jones are like "#$%& you football team, this is how you represent the Stanford University Cardinal!"

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - martyup - 12-01-2019

Cardinal is ballin'

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - Austroturf - 12-01-2019

Very pleasant surprise this year.  Go Cardinal!

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - BostonCard - 12-01-2019

Da Silva has all 10 of our points in the second half.

I'm watching on DVR delay, so have stayed away from the thread until now.

Condi Rice on the sidelines.

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - Crafter Artisan - 12-01-2019

Of course if they're salty, it's far more likely to be the Butler ending than anything that happened on the gridiron.  This is the first chance they've had since then to unleash the anger.

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - Austroturf - 12-01-2019

Defense slacking a bit down the stretch.

Solid win: 72-54.

RE: MBB vs. UNC Wilmington - BostonCard - 12-01-2019

Hard to keep the intensity up for a whole game when you are leading by 20+.

Hey BC how about an Ultimate Frisbee sucks thread?

For those who might’ve missed the game in real time (like me), there will be an airing on Pac-12 Bay Area in an hour and a half (9pm PT) (if you have access, naturally).

Not seeing it on my schedule.

Scheduling today's opponent likely made sense before the freshmen arrived on campus.
Now that type of scheduling might be a bit too soft.  A good problem to have, I guess.

At least Oklahoma and Butler will likely remain decent OOC opponents.

I am eager to see if the team can get to 8-10 or 9-9 type conference record.

Sorry to hear that. I was able to record and am watching a fun game. I suspect they will air it again a few more times if you’re inclined to search for it. I’m not on the west coast so perhaps my info was off.

I would sure like to see better bench perform in games like this where they can get some time!    Underscores that lack of depth concern which has been mentioned in multiple other threads

Yep, the last guys on the bench are walk-ons - I think 3 of them played, 2 of whom were on scholarship due to unexpected attrition (Stanback retirement, Ryan transfer). And Keenan Fitzmorris may as well be one too given how he's looked.
