Cool! I am planning on scooping up a couple tickets from StubHub.
A question: I have been to only one game at Maples before (earlier this season), and to park, I just followed the attendants who directed me across the street to (i believe) parking lot 7. No one charged me anything so I just parked and went to the game. However, on StubHub, i saw someone selling a parking spot in lot 7 for tonight’s game. Was I supposed to pay for parking? I thought parking was free in many lots on weekends or after 6pm?
Any other suggestions/tips would be appreciated. I’m a football STM, but I am new to basketball.

Including this year, I've always been able to park by the track house or by sunken diamond and walk to Maples. I have never had to pay for basketball parking.
You can probably still go to the ticket booth at Maples before the game and buy a ticket. Another option is to buy your ticket beforehand at gostanford.com.
BTW, at the ticket booth or at gostanford.com, you get discounted tickets by being a football STM.

Snorlax, the tickets are cheaper on gostanford.com...or at least they were a couple days ago when I purchased mine.

Wow, thanks for the suggestions Samuel & PVTree. The STM discount was more significant than I thought it'd be. While StubHub had cheaper tickets for the corners of the lower level ($15+fees to be at the furthest edge of section 9), I got upper-level seats very close to the center for $20 each (+ fees). I think I'd rather be closer to midcourt in one of the upper-level seats than off in the corner in a lower-level seat. Plus Maples feels like a tight venue.
I hope it's more crowded than the USF game. It'd be great if the band is there.
Beat Cal!

Lot 7 is NW of the football stadium
The only paid parking for WBB or MBB is the Maples Lot and that’s a one time fee or contribution

Son (old fart = graduated but still comes back to play) says he hasn’t heard about sending Band to any games during Winter Break.

On offense we can get open for 3s but can't hit. Anything inside is super tough.
Defense seems pretty good, or maybe Cal can't shoot.
Cal up 7-4.

Things I don’t think I knew before this telecast:
DD is listed at 6’3” but has a wingspan like someone 6’8-10”
DD leads the team in floor burns and assists
Things I knew before the telecast:
DD is a stud
He has the ability to carry the team
DD with a nice assist on a trey as “Delaire delivers” at the half. 32-21 good guys!

They aren't exactly playing a style that will appeal to the casual TV viewer. I am sure by now most outside of the Bay Area have stopped watching this scrum.
But after a decade of tough losses, this style works for me!! I would rather see Stanford beat Cal in an ugly defensive game than lose an entertaining high scoring game.
Beat Cal!

Ucla just beat Washington in Seattle.

A W is a W, and while the offense wasn’t spectacular it was “good enough”; we shot 46% overall, 39% from 3. Better free throw shooting would have helped, but ultimately when you hold your opponent to 52 points, it’s a good day.

Beating Cal soundly is always entertaining. I'm glad I went to the game! There were lots of good things to see.

Our team plays with a smooth rhythm and flow. They move the ball around quickly and everyone stays in motion. They seem to have an almost boyish energy and love of the game. They play happy. On defense they never let up and make it difficult for the opponent to get good looks. Best of all, I didn't see any whining about bad calls or bad plays, and no flops. I really enjoyed watching them beat Cal, even if it was on the TV.

Did Davis and Terry swap roles on offense last night? Davis seemed to bring the ball up the court more often than not. And Terry seemed to play off the ball more than I saw in previous games. Then again, I've only been able to watch a couple games this season.

+1 Good Observation
He certainly did handle the ball way more than other games. Maybe they were doing this to allow DD take better advantage of the defensive match up by Cal?? When he figured out he could pretty much beat the Cal guy like a drum he did. Made some great passes after penetration for easy baskets and the most wonderful thing, just 1 turnover for him. That is a brobdingnagian improvement , hope he keeps it up. Cal worked very hard to try and keep Spencer from getting any free looks anywhere. And then they focused on Terry and OSD. I was really happy for DD and how he played the game on defense and offense and how worked to keep the guys where they needed to be after we got untracked. He seems clearly proud to wear the Captain C and takes the meaning of that to heart.

Hard to say with any level of confidence yet, but Stanford sure seems like a tournament team. Two losses to really good teams (the #3 and #11 teams in the latest AP poll), and the defense hung in there against Kansas but the hole the offense dug in the first half was just too big. Against Cal, Stanford seemed to struggle early, but by the end of the game, they found a rhythm and put a lesser team away.
Heck, I'd be
thrilled if they could make the tournament and maybe win a game. I haven't been optimistic about Stanford men's basketball in a while, so it feels pretty good to think this program might be moving in the right direction.
