2020 football schedule -
CowboyIndian - 01-08-2020
Anyone have a clue about when we can expect to see the 2020 football schedule from the Pac-12? Of course there's zippo on the P12 web site.
Trying to organize a road trip and also figure out a reunion date in October. Luv ya, Larry!

I don't believe it's out yet. No clue on timing.
For comparison, the 2019 football schedule was released on December 4, 2018. Yikes.

Pac-12 hasn't released its schedule yet. Our non-conference dates are set, though:
Sept. 5 at home against William and Mary
Oct. 10 at Notre Dame
Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving week end & my birthday) at home against BYU
My guess is that we will have a bye Sept. 12 and we will host USC Sept. 19, but that's just a guess based on the fact that because of Notre Dame (and BYU) we often have an early date with SC. Since SC is playing New Mexico on the 12th, they aren't an option that week. Of our conference opponents, Arizona has no one scheduled Sept. 12 and UCLA has no one scheduled Sept. 19th so our early conference opponent options are limited.

Having ND on Nov 28 means we'll get Big Game on Nov 21.
Keeping your comment in mind, I also looked at last year's Pac-12 schedules, and nobody had a week 2 bye. There was a Pac-12 game in week 2: Cal-UW. Thus I'd theorize we're @Arizona on 9/12 (the one Pac-12 game that week) and vs. USC 9/19.

Let's just have the reunion at Zott's. Or maybe just a riot in White Plaza.

Mid January. I suspect they are waiting for the CFP title game to be played so their announcement won’t get lost in the wash.

We could take over Old Union just for old times sake. I don't even know what goes on in there now...if anything.

On the plus side, only two games without students, or maybe one depending on if they're back by the 19th. Usually in even years it's three before they get back.

W&M is a whatever cupcake game regardless. And I think students will be around on 9/19, or at least the freshmen. Might be during New Student Orientation.

FWIW, Wilner thinks it will be released sometime in the next two weeks.
Unless, of course, it isn't.

UCLA has an opponent scheduled the 12th but not the 19th. Thus I would expect that if we don’t have a bye the 12th, we will play UofA, and though it is possible we’d play UCLA the 19th, traditionally we’ve had our early game against USC.

Traditionally?!? That annual travesty didn't start until the 2014 season. Ridiculous that arguably our second biggest rivalry game occurs now before the students are on campus.

Per undergrad.stanford.edu, New Student Orientation is Wednesday, September 16 through Sunday, September 20. Classes start on Monday, September 21, so if Stanford has a home game on September 19 there should be decent student attendance.

Started in 2012. Basically since the Pac-12 came about and they solidified OOC in weeks 1-3 and Pac-12 play thereafter, with Notre Dame exceptions for us and USC that pushes our game against them into the OOC weeks.
