10 college football players primed for breakout seasons in 2020
Quote:Kelly quietly emerged as one of the Pac-12’s better young corners as a true freshman, starting nine games for an injury-riddle defense. Kelly mostly played well. He finished with 34 tackles and an interception to go along with five passes defended. Kelly is the son of NFL cornerback Brian Kelly, who played in the league for 11 years between 1998-2008. Kelly has all of the tools you’d want in a high-level corner prospect. He’s 6-foot-1, 176 pounds with a quick 20-yard shuttle (4.21), a big vertical jump (35 inches) and extremely long arms. Kelly will have even more responsibility placed on him in 2020 with star corner Paulson Adebo likely headed to the NFL. Watch for Kelly to emerge as one of the better corners in the country by his career’s end.

He’s 6-foot-1, 176 pounds?!? Isn't there a training table anymore? Where's the strength and conditioning staff? Oh wait, never mind.

If you follow Eubanks on twitter, you will be treated to pictures of the summer training table. Believe me, the availability of food is not the limiting step here.

Wow, the poor athletes. Looks just like the food in Wilbur in the early 80s; no wonder he didn't put on any weight. . . .

Didn't have a full offseason of S&C yet. Usually we'll see significant weight jumps/changes for the freshmen after their first offseason.

I think Kelly is going to be good. It's interesting, though, that the team's post-season award for Outstanding Freshman went to Jonathan McGill rather than Kelly. I think McGill is going to be good too.
