Darn. Was hoping she'd stay forever

I took my one unit PE volleyball class from her.  She doesn't look like she's aged much in the 25 years since then.

Why was she never a head coach?  Just not her preference?

Well, she kind of was, as interim head coach at Stanford for one year in 2000.

Will miss her and appreciate all she did for WVB. Hope she is leaving on her terms.

She hated the limelight and struggled the one year she took over in 2000. It was a challenging year because Logan Tom was missing for most of the year because of the Olympics and the team didn't have consistent passing nor did they have a terminator.

Her personality suited much better towards behind the limelight and that's just how she liked it.

Really tough loss. Corlett was an institution and one of the cornerstones of the Stanford Women's Volleyball Program. She was one of the greatest recruiting assets to Shaw, Dunning and Hambly because she was able to make the parents of recruits feel safe to send their daughters so far away from home (if they were outside of California). She was exceptional at her job and will be sorely missed.

The Bootleg did a write-up about her back in September 2006. Below is a link to the article via my Dopbox link.
