College football news - Michigan State - Spiny_Norman - 02-04-2020

Mark Dantonio resigns/retires as head coach of Michigan State one day after papers are filed in court that describe NCAA violations at MSU and possibly Dantonio lying about it. He had been the head guy at MSU for 13 years.

Great timing dude. National Signing Day is tomorrow.

Best comment I've seen on this: "In honor of Dantonio not making coaching changes, will Michigan State permanently leave the Head Coach position open?"

I assume most of the recruits signed during the early signing period.  But as a reminder, this is why recruits should sign with the school and not the coach.

They will all be released from their LOIs, but your overall point is sound.

Released for what? Haven't most schools allocated their available scholarships by now?

I wonder how serious the violations are for him to resign.

Maybe they will have to vacate their Rose Bowl win and then Shaw &Co will have 3 Rose Bowls with 0 losses ;)
