Podcast interview with women's golf coach Anne Walker - Spiny_Norman - 02-21-2020

Highly recommended. Great insight into her approach to coaching college golf along with stories about her introduction to the game, how she came to America and her experience at Stanford. Stanford is lucky to have someone like Coach Walker leading the program.

Yes, but I give a lot of credit for the "luck" to the Stanford DA people who hired her out of UC Davis.

I believe Bob Bowlsby started that process although he left shortly before she was announced as the new golf coach. Interim AD Patrick Dunkley made the announcement. A great hire. Walker was only 32 at the time!

I loved her comment about being interviewed by Tara. Something like, "even if I didn't get the job, I got to have lunch with a legend!"

I also really appreciated her insights about Lee & Valenzuela going pro and making sure they finished their degrees.
