A vote against a separate board - terry - 03-16-2020

I'd rather leave the Covid-19 discussion on the main board. This board feels like it's hidden away, out of the mainstream. There are no sports to discuss on the main board, so what's the harm of keeping the Covid-19 discussion front and center?

The issue is not that it's not front and center. The issue is that there are so many subjects within the thread that it's hard to keep track of. This way, we can have discussions about sheltering in place, another about obtaining food, etc.

With Terry on this, stand-alone forums are where topics go to die.

either encourage multiple threads or split off some of the many posts into separate threads (yes a big job) or keep them all in the "big thread",  moving the discussion off the main board will not end the "big thread" unless it is locked

Not that my opinion is valued, I like the idea of a separate forum. Suggest a link pinned to the top of the main board page. . . .

The big thread has been locked.

I vote there be THREE tabs/sections on the main cardboard page —
Important threads
Covid threads
Normal threads

we can cast off covid threads when there are some actual sports to discuss again

That's not a capability within the software.

+1.  Right as rain, Terry, although I fear this is a fait accompli.

I do not mind at all having one thread for everything. I am fully capable of processing more than one thought at a time. Navigating here is a pain. The fewer clicks the better.
