Happy Easter/Passover - 2006alum - 04-12-2020

Hope all of you are able to spend the holidays with loved ones, even if that is remotely via zoom, phone chats, etc. I'm thankful that so far it seems the reach of the COVID-19 illness has been limited among our friends and family as compared to the many others across the country (and world) who have already lost loved ones.

While we often squabble like siblings and fight like cats and dogs, this forum has been an important source of information, commiseration, and -- yes -- occasional ventilation for me, and I'm very thankful for all of your contributions to it. These are strange and difficult times, and developing a measure of solidarity among my fellow Cardinal faithful has been one of the major blessings to help get through these past few weeks, and what I'm sure will likely be even tougher weeks and months to come.

So thank you, and enjoy the holiday weekend.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover to everyone!

We've got a Zoom set up for later today between my wife and me, 4 daughters, and 4 grandchildren in (between us) 5 households. The online conferencing has been working fairly well for me for business, so I'm looking forward to it. The adults in the group are all working remotely, and the kids are all getting school online.

I've had good results with Google hangouts, Zoom, and doxy, as platforms for this.

We had a zoom Seder with my parents and my brother; we had originally planned for me to take a few days off and go down to San Diego for the Seder down there (and spend a week  in San Diego going to the beach and Legoland and doing all sorts of things that are now incomprehensible).  So we did a zoom instead, and it worked out pretty well.  In fact, afterwords, my dad asked we haven't been doing this every year.
