erica ogwumike - jonnyss - 04-18-2020

just went #26 in the wnba draft. mikayla pivec went #25, which gives us a rough sense of erica's talent. maybe we should have taken more interest in her.

Yes, the fans certainly wondered why she did not follow in her sisters' footsteps.  2015 our entering class included Shannon Coffee, Alanna Smith, Marta Sniezek, and Alexa Romano.  Hindsight is 20/20.

For those of us who did not follow her career, what exactly was Erica particularly good at doing?  I have never seen her play, so I don't know.  Looking at her stats, she doesn't seem to have been a point guard.  Her 3 point shooting dropped precipitously over her career, ending up at 17% her senior year.  What is it about her career that makes the WNBA think she is up to Pivec standards?

Remember there is a 4th sister and they were going to play together. Which they did.

Erica was also traded to Minnesota. I heard on the WNBA draft show that they are LA's main rival so she'll be facing off against her sisters in intense games...if she makes the Lynx team. 3rd rounders are not automatics to stick with the team.
