Stanford UDFAs - Mick - 04-26-2020

Here's a long list of the best UDFA's by position, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.  Only two Stanford players on it, #23 RB Cam Scarlett and #2 long snapper Richard McNitzky.

Well, yeah. There is nobody else. A grand total of 5 players ran out of eligibility this year: Toohill, Scarlett, McNitzky, IBS, and Ryan Beecher. The last 2 were not close to NFL material.

We needed like 10 guys to grad transfer because nearly the entire team was coming back with another 20+ freshmen.

Actually, I hear that IBS is coming back for a ninth year. Found a loophole that allows student athletes to play for as long as they want as long as no one can figure out why.

Normally I wouldn't give a +1 for something that rags on a player, but that was funny!

I believe. We need sprinters

RE: Stanford UDFAs - Phogge - 04-26-2020

Don't consider that a rag. You should have heard our dugout when we played Santa Clara. Probably a forfeit in today's climate.

Here are some pretty great reasons to finish those 5th and 6th years:

• Hobbies include managing websites and creating apps
• Earned undergraduate degree in computer science
• Earning master's degree in computer science

Those 5th and 6th years, even paying full tuition, should pay for themselves very, very quickly.

Scarlett has signed with Tennessee.

Uh, I was not impugning IBS. I'm sure he's a great guy and contributed to the team and everyone was happy to have him back given that we had scholarships to spare. I was referring to the fact that no one could figure out how it was that he was allowed by the NCAA to take a sixth year.
