What a bummer. A great player and a great man.
One of a few transfer players for Stanford. Part of the legacy of Tight End U. Was a harbinger of the trend toward slimmer and faster tight ends. Teammate of David Shaw. Part of the Stenstrom-Vardell-Milburn-Walsh-big OL offense. (Also Lasley and Pinckney)
I'll remember his critical TD in the 1991 Big Game. (After the game, Darrien Gordon told Brian Treggs that he could crash with him if he needed a place to stay.)
