What HOF pitcher has a diamond named after him in a Bay Area suburban community. What Bay Area HS has two HOFers among their alumni?

Eckersley?

I was going to say McClymonds with Frank Robinson and Bill Russell but your thread title is baseball.

Didn’t Joe DiMaggio and Tony Lazzeri both go to Galileo?

I’ve been to Lefty Gomez field in Rodeo

I would guess first Galileo HS

McClymonds is another answer with The Schnozz.
So yes QWERTY you got a school I had forgotten Ernie Lombardi

Please tell me it's Sacred Heart Prep's very own Harry "Slug" Heilmann, born in San Francisco in 1894, lived at 708A Brannan south of Market and played most of his career for the Detroit Tigers, and won four AL batting titles with Ty Cobb on his same team! (Cobb was eight years older).  Heilmann played football and basketball and ran track instead of playing baseball at Sacred Heart.

There was a Heilmann Park in Detroit and a low-cost Heilmann Community center there, too.  I'm guessing there isn't one in SF.  Would be nice if there was.

There is also a Lefty Gomez Field in Fairfax. He used to pitch at White House Pool Field in Pt. Reyes. Had lights back then. Now a parking lot in the PRNS.

Good call on Lombardi and F Robbie. The other local is SF's Sacred Heart with Joe Cronin and Harry Heilman. Joe D did not graduate from Gal. My mom was in his class their first year. She said he disappeared sometime before Christmas. Story goes that he went back to Martinez to work on his father's fishing boat but continued to play ball. Was signed by the Seals and eventually to the Yanks.

What Sacred Heart grad hit two grand slams in the same game? What reward did the Orioles make to him 50 years later?

I missed the alumni part.
We did Lombardi a while ago so when QWERTY mentioned McClymonds I remembered

Of course 2 grand slams is easy but I’ll pass. I was at candlestick when Tony Cloninger hit 2

Jim Gentile for the 2 slams I think

I remember listening to the Cloninger game in the car.  Can’t remember where we were going. He is the only pitcher to hit two slams in a game. Heck I can’t think of another player that did.
I think it was Rick Wise that hit 2HRs and pitched a no-hitter.
