Kansas imposing quarantine requirements for some travelers, I wonder when other states will........

indeed. i seem to remember Florida's governor quarantining New Yorkers for up to two weeks.
and now, New York's governor is mulling a quarantine of Floridians.......

Interesting selection. Alabama, Arizona and Arkansas make sense. They have very high new cases per million. Not sure how Maryland fits in here. There are quite a few states that are closer to Kansas and have higher numbers per million.

This is a natural but pathetic response to the state of play in the US. Federal government is abdicating its responsibility and spinning its cycles on partisan bickering. Isolationism has already been applied at the international level (e.g., defunding the WHO, and, ironically, ceding control to China which is filling the void we left.) It’s no surprise that isolationism is now being applied at the state level, too. This is, very sadly, the only rational reaction in the face of an abyss of leadership and authority at the federal level.

It is perhaps worth noting that the governor of Kansas is a Democrat, which goes to show that stupid policies are a bipartisan problem.

Maybe China can get the WHO to enforce reporting at the earliest possible outbreak of a pandemic. We certainly couldn't...

And that's why we had CDC officials stationed in China as an early warning network...until the fed govt started defunding key offices and people. After 2003, I doubt most informed officials in the govt trusted China to handle outbreaks.
