Given the scale of virus in the population, it seems likely the more quaint measures to contain it, like mask wearing, will not be enough to get outbreaks under control. This basically means SIP will be the only alternative.
Anyone want to guess which state will be the first to issue a SIP with our latest out of control resurgence? It seems TX, AZ, and FL are the front runners, but perhaps Georgia and Washington could be dark horses?
CA is so big and the outbreak so concentrated in southern part of state, hard to imagine another full statewide SIP. What do y’all prognosticate?

Not in the US and not a full state, but greater Melbourne has reverted to a 6-week modified lockdown.
