In case you haven't seen it before, just have to tie a couple of knots. I've been trying it out for a few days and it can take a little fiddling to get the best fit/angle, but seems to be much tighter, which presumably  does a better job filtering.

I was actually using an outer nylon stocking layer over a surgical mask (yes, pantyhose haha)

before when going to higher risk places, but the knot method seems better for me so far. I had tried the 3 rubber band method before, but it didn't seem comfortable for longer periods of use. I was going to try the one piece rubber sheet but the test data on fixthemask seemed to show the filtration improvement wasn't as good without fiddling with cushioning around the nose so I never did.
