First, kudos to the young men for their (almost) Wayne's World interactive approach. I thought their demeanor was quite good and impressive overall.
Second, obviously these are highlights culled from who knows how many hours of interactions.
Third, if these had been interactions at entrance to a mall - or better yet, inside a mall - then it would have been more revealing. I can't get THAT worked up about folks at beach front walking/riding/cycling outside and not wanting to wear a mask. That's just me.
Fourth, the revealing comments were the (i) it's all a sham, and (ii) "dude, that just a TV talking point." Those made me laugh . . . and cry.
But maybe this is all Darwin's way of explaining his ongoing relevance to us: only the strong (and smart) survive.

Didn't it seem ironic that one of the two guys giving out masks was not covering his nose.
Overall, so sad.
I'd love to see them do the same thing on the streets of NYC.

Agree completely, Teejers. I also am not going to get too worked up about people outside not wearing a mask, unless people aren't able to social distance. The responses are silly, of course, but I agree that the biggest bang for the buck would have occurred giving masks going into a crowded enclosed area.

Unfortunately, their responses and attitude reflect their beliefs which I’ve seen from family members and their friends in Orange County. It feels like we’re living in an alternative reality where facts and science are ignored or believed to be a conspiracy. Instead their “beliefs” are paramount.

The fact is many refuse to wear faces and site how dangerous it is to the mask wearer. It starts at the top. AMd the top failed America.
I wore a gas mask periodically and here I am. Old and healthy

Good thing I just bought some Nexcare absorbing covers. While I fortunately don't usually get acne these days, the fact that I missed out on these when I was young made me want to buy a box just to see. =)
