I'm working from home the rest of the year. My company has given up trying to figure out how to safely bring office workers back. In the meantime, my colleagues in Switzerland have the option of going back or working from home.

We just told everyone to stay at home, only go to the office if you absolutely have to, and if you do, there are an inordinate number of hoops to jump through. Luckily, lawyers are not essential workers...

We too have told our 80 employees they will have all definitely have the option of working from home at least through the rest of the year. We are looking at maybe reopening our offices sometime next fall, in case anybody wants to work from the office again, at their option; but that we can't be sure that will happen until next year.
Meanwhile, we are paying the rent for two floors of empty offices. Ours is a software company.
The good news for us is that we've adopted ourselves quickly to all remote. We have good communication via slack, and cloud-based software tools connect the development teams, support teams, etc. Sales are down 10-20% from before the pandemic, but up in June over May, and leveled off now, no longer dropping. We are getting things done at about the same pace as when we were all in the office.
Two of my adult children work with tech companies that had no offices, and were entirely remote, even before the pandemic. One of those has 30+ employees, the other 20+. They pay no rent. In both cases, half or so of their employees live outside the U.S. And they've not been disrupted.
