any analytical player breakdown from you and Phogge?

More of a slap hitter. I moved him from righty to lefty to get to first quickly.

Most everyone at Charlie Swindell's time was a slap hitter. 1904.
Carlos Quentin was the closest Stanford had to a power hitter and he wasn't all that powerful. Maybe Edman will become Stanford's best hitter. Cal had Jensen and Chapman but that's it.
Probably Reggie was the best Pac player ever but he was such a horse's ass to deal with I would rather pick somebody else. And that personality trait disqualifies perhaps the biggest horse's ass ever, Bonds. May he never make the Hall. And BTW, "Get that camera outta my face!"
Robby Thompson: "He's an asshole but he can hit."

ASU was not a P8/10/12 school when Reggie played there. But it was P10 when Barry Bonds played there. Apparently, he was not very well liked by his teammates either.

Thanks for sharing. I so remember Oddibe (wearing number zero) at Sunken Diamond--stood out more in my memory than Barry back then.

To be clear, Robby knew me and he pulled me over after Bonds did his thing. Later they obtained Kent who was just nasty assed mean to everybody. Other Knights of uncivil ability were Albert Belle, Gary Geaetti and the lefty hitting Padre catcher who later played for the Giants. Can't remember his name.
The good guys: Gaylord, Juan, Tito and Dick Dietz.

Terry Kennedy?

Racking my brain and couldn't come up with Terry. But yes he finished his career with the Giants, three years 89-91.

Slide!!!
Spent a pre game shooting the GatorAid home run contest in 1983. GatorAid paying money to all four contestants and inviting the local winner to the championships at either the AS Game or the WS. The two Giants and the other Padre were loose and joking and having fun. Kennedy flipped off the camera twice and was a Scrouge the whole half hour.

Was “Grand Slam” Carey considered a power hitter.

BobK -- you started with 2 strikes against you. one was recency and the other was non-Stanford, male sport.
