Keep in mind, if the Cardinals beat the Brewers, they won’t have to play double-header against Detroit on Monday if the Giants or Phillies win.

Cardinals will be motivated. That’s important. I expect Pads to rest people today. Not over yet. But it’s tough to make playoffs when you blow two games down the stretch.

It would be so perfect for the Giants, Brewers, and Phillies to all lose, like they are at the moment.
None of these teams really deserves to be in any playoff.

Clutch hitting has disappeared. Now need a miracle or tomorrow we can start posting about possible roster changes going forward.

Giants lost 5-4 to the Padres, finishing the season 2-8 against the Pads (that means they finished a decent 27-23 against teams not from San Diego).
Phillies lost 5-0 to the Rays
Brewers lost 5-2 to the Cardinals
