MBB: 12/31 game at OSU postponed due to OSU covid cases -

The subject sums it up. No reschedule date yet. Oregon game on Saturday is still on.
Also, can anyone explain to me why they didn't just push the whole season back 3 months from the beginning instead of doing this at the peak of the biggest covid outbreak? Did CBS insist that March Madness had to actually be in March?

Good question.
"May Madness" has alliteration, too!

the official pronouncement:
Quote: The Thursday, Dec. 31 men's basketball game between Stanford and Oregon State has been postponed due to COVID-19 testing results and contact tracing within the Beavers program.
The Pac-12 Conference will work with the Oregon State and Stanford programs to attempt to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule the game. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
Stanford continues its season on Saturday, Jan. 2 at No. 21/17 Oregon. The 7 p.m. contest will be televised on ESPN2 or ESPNU

The Pac-12 does not control the NCAA. How many other conferences would vote to delay longer than they already did?
