I turned it off early when WSU was down double digits. Looks like I missed a good one!
I just turned it on with a few seconds left as AZ missed 2 free throws up 2 with 5.6 seconds left, giving WSU a chance to win...

Back-to-back in Pullman in 3 weeks is going to be brutal.

Honestly, though. Wazzu has been a wonderful surprise this season after losing two all time leaders in Borislava Hristova and Chanelle Molina last season. I'd like to point out that they are all alone in second place in the Pac-12 after playing six games. While there's a long way to go, they have managed to scrape by with fewer losses than Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, and everyone else in the conference not named Stanford. As we all know, the two game homestand by Wazzu likely represents a fantastic chance to put one up on the scoreboard against Stanford after losing the last 67 in a row. I'm looking forward to that weekend.

ESPN is hyping their televised game on Thursday between Arizona and UCLA. When I was watching they didn't say anything about Arizona losing today to an unranked team.
Edit: I meant Arizona and Oregon

"they have managed to scrape by with fewer losses than Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, and everyone else in the conference not named Stanford" is misleading because they haven't played Stanford while the others have.
Conference record EXCEPTING games against Stanford
Oregon 7-1
Arizona 6-1
WSU 5-1
UCLA 5-1
ASU 3-2
USC 2-4
Colo 2-4
Utah 2-7
OSU 1-3
Wash 1-4
Cal 0-6

Call me beyond shocked at the WSU win. At start of the season my guess cal or the Cougars 11/12. Of course then cal lost 3 of their 11 players. Still shocked. Coaching coaching coaching
Ucla able to play only because of their recent HS grad who scored 7. Two of their players still out.

Washington State is vulnerable to a healthy Stanford Team. Matchup problems with our rotations.

Agreed. I'm so bullish on this Stanford squad, I think they'll roll WSU.
UCLA impressive to date, given roster restrictions.
But I still think Oregon is second best team in the conference.

WSU's coach is working his big three to death. Two of them played every minute of the game.
Stanford's ability to push tempo and the defensive pressure that Wilson and Williams can put on the Legler-Walker sisters should make Stanford a strong favorite.

I tend to agree with Hulk... these women are an impressive bunch . The win over Oregon sans one starter and with a shortened bench shows a lot of maturity for a young bunch. Special kudos to Jerome, Williams and Wilson for providing genuine leadership . BUT , and there is always a “but”, I fear that being forever road warriors will take its toll. Being away from training facilities, weight room and “home” takes a toll and it has to effect the team. That and the fact that Pullman is a tough, tough place to get to and the thought of playing back to back games In The other guys gym is daunting.
Color me hopeful but worried. The Cougs win over Arizona is helpful. We won’t be looking past this bunch. Washington’s weakness helps too as it allows prep to focus on Washington . Hopefully, I will look back at this post and laugh at my lack of confidence.. but for now, I’m scared.
