Well, that's better than DI baseball, which has us ninth.
Actually not sure what to make of the team this year. The freshman class, both first-years and redshirts, is very strong. With health and reasonable production from the returning seniors, this is a team that could surprise, especially with confidence gained from a fast start.
Here's my prediction of what the opening day lineup will look like. This is just a guess, as it may take the bulk of the season before Esquer settles on a regular lineup.
C: Kody Huff
1B: Nick Brueser
2B: Tommy Troy
SS: Owen Cobb
3B: Drew Bowser
LF: Brock Jones
CF: Tim Tawa
RF: Christian Robinson
DH: Cole Hinkleman
That's three players in their fourth year on the Farm and six who have never played a full season of college ball.

Outstanding post and a welcome baseball junkie. I have no clue on the lineup so appreciate your thoughts.
I wonder if and when Williams will be able to pitch?

It might be a while before a few hurlers are able to go.

That certainly hurts. I know Willians could miss the season. But it’s been whst 11 months since his operation?

I think both Williams and Palisch will pitch before the season is over.

We don't know the Gators haven't released their schedule yet. Stanford needs amny more games.

Hey, I’m ready. I have about 60 pitches in me. All at about 55mph. We had our best start in years in 2020, of course cut short. Way back when the Dons always gave Stanford trouble. We in turn usually took care of USF but we couldn’t touch Stanford.

While Baseball America picks Stanford 4th in the conference they are not picked to make the NCAA.
Top draft prospects this year are Williams 13th in the league and Palisch 11tb
For the 2022 draft catcher Kody Huff 9th

Stanford is going to make believers out of folks. The "experts" haven't seen nor heard from the Card in a year. No fall practice...they know nothing about us. The veterans on this team are the glue -- the experts forget that Beck, Palisch, Wieirmiller, Tawa, Robinson and Brueser all were starters or key contributors on a Super Regional Team. And they are clueless about how talented our youngsters are. There is continuity on the staff as well. Just wait! By the end of March, Baseball America and everybody else will be fawning over just how good this team is.

Certainly hope you are correct but our record last season is the indicator for predictions. Nothing wrong with that. Abd now we play the games abd I’m excited
