OK, not quite, but MLB is going to make the balls ever so slightly less springy, which should lead them to travel 1 - 2 feet less on balls hit over 375 feet.

Now they nee$ to do something about pitchers loading up the baseball.  It’s be one very common.  Improves spin rate quite a  bit.

Current. The Athletic had a piece on it.  Very common. Improves the grip. And enhances spin rate. Because it’s so prevelant managers don’t call it out against opposing pitchers - cause their own pitchers are doing it. One common substance is a combo of pine tar and rosin. They call it “go-go juice”. Bauer called Cole out on it a couple years ago. They hate each other. But Bauer’s spin rate magically improved last year. A lot.

Hitters generally put up with it cause with guys throwing 95 you do want them to have a solid grip.....
